Princeton Classic 2011 Invitation and Tournament Packet

Dear Forensics Coach,

On behalf of the Princeton Debate Panel, it is our pleasure to invite you and your forensics team to the 15th Annual Princeton Classic, to be held from Friday, December 2, 2011 to Sunday, December 4, 2011. The tournament will consist of competition in Varsity and Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Congressional Debate, and six Speech events. We offer 5 prelim rounds in IE, 6 in Novice LD, and 7 in Varsity LD and Public Forum. Finalists in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas, Octafinalists in Public Forum debate, and Elimination Round Participants in IE and Extemporaneous Speaking will earn a bid to their respective Tournament of Champions.

Last year our tournament made a strong leap forward in tournament administration and policies, drawing over 1000 participants from more than 100 schools, and we hope to continue and build upon that success. Joining us this year as Tab Director is Jim Menick of Hendrick Hudson (NY) while Jon Cruz of Bronx Science (NY), Abdul Beretay of Bryan Hills (NY), and Lynne Coyne of Ridge (NJ) will run LD tab. Dario Camara of Christopher Columbus (FL) and Carol Cecil of Braddock (FL) will direct Public Forum tab, Brother John McGrory of Chaminade (NY) will oversee Congress tab, and Joe Vaughan of Scarsdale (NY), Lydia Esslinger of Syosset (NY), and Barb Guiliano of St. Joseph’s will run Speech tab.

Registration will open on http://tabroom.com on October 15. The tournament website is http://princeton.tabroom.com and will contain important event information and updates.

Below is a link to download the official tournament packet. If you need any additional information or assistance, please email us at princetonclassic2011@gmail.com.

We hope your school year and forensics season are off to a great start, and look forward to seeing you all in Princeton this December!
